Himaya is the Arabic word for 'protection'. The pieces in the collection are inspired by the eye of protection, and the stunning colours found in the kilim rugs and intricate tiles for which Turkey and Syria's artisans have been known for centuries. The talisman of the eye of protection feels especially relevant given the protection we are all hoping can be found for those affected.
£5 (the profit) from the purchase price of each of our Himaya necklaces will be divided between the charities Shelterbox and Hand in Hand for Syria. Both charities are carrying out rescue operations, and providing desperately needed emergency shelter, medical supplies, food and water.
The pendant is suspended on an 18" sterling silver chain, though other chain lengths are available on request. Equally, if you would like to purchase a pendant without a chain, do get in touch.
