Our hand beaten solid brass can be left to patina naturally or kept to a glittering shine using the jewellery polishing cloth included with all brass styles.

Our brass earrings come with gold plated ear wires as standard. All our ear wires are hypoallergenic and lead, nickel and cadmium free.

Our stainless steel earrings come with silver plated ear wires as standard. We also offer solid 925 sterling silver ear wires. Both are hypoallergenic, though for super sensitive ears we recommend solid 925 sterling silver.

Stainless steel can be endlessly recycled, and is considered one of the most sustainable and eco-friendly metals in common use. It has long been valued for strength, shine, hygiene, and tarnish resistance.

It's colour is very similar to sterling silver, and it is hard enough to be cut into the gossamer light shapes you can see in The Gossamer Collection… in fact, it is so strong it can be tricky to texture on our anvils, but my goodness it's worth it. Our oldest anvil is around 150 years old, and still going very strong!

Stainless steel is super durable, scratch proof and doesn't tarnish. If your stainless steel jewellery needs a clean you can gently wash it with warm soapy water.

Recycled silver is produced by extracting the sterling silver from unwanted jewellery, scrap silver and used metal products. It has all the qualities of virgin sterling silver but saves huge amounts of energy and resources as well as minimising polluting manufacturing processes and greenhouse gas emmissions created in the process of mining virgin metals.

Our recycled silver collection comes with silver plated ear wires as standard. We can offer an additional option of solid 925 sterling silver ear wires. Both are hypoallergenic, though for super sensitive ears we recommend solid 925 sterling silver.

100% recycled sterling silver jewellery can be cared for as easily as virgin silver, a gentle wash with warm soapy water or a special silver polishing cloth will do the trick.

Every bead that makes up one of our nature inspired beaded styles is hand threaded by our founder Nic. This hand beadwork creates unique, tactile designs and the intricate craftsmanship ensures that your beadwork will look it's best for years to come.

You should care for your hand beaded jewellery as you would with the care tips outlined for our brass, stainless steel or silver styles above. If you would like to clean the bead and thread work of your beaded jewellery do so very gently with warm soapy water and a soft cloth.

We offer two choices of threadwork for our beaded styles; reclaimed silk (never nylon, we are a proudly plastic free business) which is conditioned with local beeswax or a vegan alternative using organic cotton. Both materials are of the highest quality, strength and durability, offering a choice to support your personal values whenever you shop with us.

Our raw brass styles age with a beautiful natural patina, however, if you want to keep your jewellery as super duper shiny as possible we recommend storing and transporting it in a cotton pouch to avoid tangled chains or pieces knocking against each other. Dropping your jewellery onto hard surfaces can also weaken or break the piece.

It’s best to keep your jewellery in a cool and dry place and take it off before you sleep, shower or exercise.

Beauty and cleaning products including soap, moisturisers, suncream and fragrances can cause damage to some metal components, so it is best to remove your jewellery before using any of these.

Salt air, salt water (and the salt in perspiration) will cause metals to tarnish over time so if you are lucky enough to live by the coast as we do, you might need to give you jewellery a polish with a dry jewellery polishing cloth more often than those inland!
