Nic Danning Jewellery | Charity partnerships

Empowering people & planet

When you shop with us, you support an independent business and a team of happy humans and their families.

We passionately raise funds and awareness for others through our charity partnerships. We are building a community that embodies inclusivity, kindness, generosity and creativity.

We support our employees to out family first with flexible working hours.

Flexible working

We are a jewellery business born out of a need for flexible work around our founder Nic's maternity leave.

Nic is passionate that the growth of her small business supports other guardians to work, live and parent well, without guilt or fear of job loss when life throws a childcare curveball.

Plastic free

We won't work with any single use plastics in our jewellery collection. Our packaging uses minimal materials, letterbox size postage, and is fully recyclable.

We select and source all our materials thoughtfully to achieve shimmering texture in balance with lightweight, oh so comfortable styles which are designed to last.

Nic Danning Jewellery | Behind the scenes, historical inspiration

Slow fashion

Our inspiration is rooted in the natural world and ancient influences from Nic's background as a historical costumier.

We encourage our community to support independent businesses, buy less and buy the best they can. We hope that you wear your Nic Danning jewellery day after day, giving it a long and adventurous life.

Kindness economy

Mary Portas explains that "it’s not only possible to build healthy businesses that do less bad and add more good – it’s a commercial imperative".

We are using our growth to raise funds and awareness for others through our charity partnerships.

We are a neurodiverse work team and champion inclusivity.

Inclusivity

We don’t assume binary genders and as a small team of working parents we seek to smash gender stereotypes wherever possible!

We champion all working styles and are led by a female founder on a mission to dispell the myths around dyslexia and neurodiversity in business. We raise each other up at every opportunity.

Our beaded collection of earrings uses reclaimed silk and local, ethically produced beeswax. We offer a vegan alternative on all beaded styles using organic cotton threadwork.

We choose ethical business banking.

Ethical business banking

It might sound a small change but, we moved our business banking to The Cooperative Bank after research into the murky underbelly of highstreet banking left us cold.

Many banks actively fund fossil fuel production which contributes hugely to climate chaos. We chose a bank who we could hold accountable to ensure that our finances were being invested ethically.
