Our small business is held up by hard working women in flexible, part time roles which empower them as both creatives and parents.
Our founder
Nic Danning is our magic maker, craftswoman, flexible working advocate, ancient history fanatic, ex-historic costumier, mother, bookworm, nature lover. Nic began making jewellery when her son was born, as a creative business which she could flex around her maternity leave.
"I have a never ending compulsion to make tiny shiny things, from which I'm eternally grateful to earn my living. The light, colours and textures of jewellery making blow my mind!
I'm proudly dyslexic, have a theatrical background, sewed professionally for twelve years, and I love any excuse to dress up and bust out the sparkle!"
Our story
Nic Danning Jewellery has grown organically, much like the natural world we are so inspired by. We are loved for our lightweight, timeless designs. Our hand beaten and beaded collection has the power to bring light and sparkle to any look, from the everyday to the most special occasions.
We are a small team of makers and parents, from all walks of life, who are so very lucky to come together making beautiful treasures under the vision of our wonderful founder Nic!
Our flexi-team
Emmaline
Emmaline is our Jewellery Maker, working closely in the studio with Nic, hand beating and finishing our raw brass and stainless steel styles.
She has a background in silversmithing and jewellery design, which is what first drew her to Cornwall. We all swoon over her amazing style and her guns of steel after many hours at the anvil!
Emmaline loves dreaming up new pieces for the collection and packaging up each and every order with care and magic.
Sadie
Sadie is our very talented Photographer and also Nic's cousin! She brings warmth and sparkle to every shoot and adores capturing 'love in all it's forms'.
Sadie is brilliant at finding the yummiest light to capture the unique shimmer, texture and glow of our jewellery. Her creativity and passion is infectious!
When she isn't at Constantine's Potager Garden shooting with us, she is busy photographing weddings, friends and families at play around Cornwall and beyond.
Tricia
Tricia is our Graphic Designer and creative support to Nic. She cartwheels across projects bringing her magic to social media, marketing, web design, photoshoots and more.
Trish joined the team looking for flexible design work on return from her mat leave; our small team empowers her to put family first.
She LOVES what Nic stands for and her ambition to do great things with her small business - pioneering slow fashion values and the kindness economy.
